Today we’re announcing news that ReceiptHero has entered into a partnership agreement with UK-based pointOne, an EPOS solution focused within the hospitality sector. The partnership will launch later this year and will be the first international configuration utilising ReceiptHero’s direct connection to Visa and Mastercard’s payment network.
pointOne has over 2500 outlets across the UK and was the first EPoS company in 2016 to introduce a fully cashless self-service kiosk solution to the UK quick-serve market. pointOne has built an open-platform where merchants can easily export data via third-party integrations.
‘We’re really excited to work with the ReceiptHero team and to add this functionality into our ecosystem. The digital receipt space hasn’t been nailed yet and we believe ReceiptHero have achieved that with their connections with the tier 1 payment networks and their awesome tech. ’ Steven Rolfe, CEO of pointOne
Ahead of going live with the solution, some pointOne merchants have already expressed an interest in activating their locations for sending digital receipts and they will be the first to pilot the solution ahead of general release. One of those merchants being The Perch, a Cocktail & Tapas bar based in Swansea.
Merchants activating the service will not need to pay for sending receipts to customers and will not be required to pay for updating their POS. ReceiptHero offers value-added services as an additional paid feature, For example, customers can leave feedback related to the service, food or overall atmosphere directly on the receipt. These insights can provide a merchant with actionable feedback to help them better the customer experience.
‘Since the pandemic we’ve gone into overdrive on trying to make The Perch as contactless as possible, we recently changed our POS to pointOne and to have this functionality is a great addition to our customer experience. We’re looking forward to going live later this year!’ Oliver Moore, Co-Owner of The Perch
One of the many reasons why POS partners like working with ReceiptHero is due to how easy it is to onboard merchants with digital receipt functionality. ReceiptHero handles the full matching and delivery of customer receipts. The company became PCI DSS Level 1 in June which now enables POS partners to fully outsource the complexity of handling any payment-related data that might be needed if the POS partner were to do this in-house.
‘pointOne is a great partner for us to enter the UK with. We have many integrated POS partners from Finland within the hospitality sector and we have been very successful in onboarding their merchants. This is a no-brainer solution for both merchants and customers in a post-corona world ’. Joel Ojala, CEO of ReceiptHero
