We’ve Got News: Announcing Our Seed Round

Jun 6, 2021

We’ve raised €2M from the Nordic’s top investors to continue our mission of digitalizing receipts.

Our journey in the receipt business isn’t a new thing, since selling eTasku to Accountor Group in 2018, we’ve been more committed to removing paper receipts from existence and finding ways to build out a global platform allowing merchants to send customers receipts without the need for the printer to… print.

Today, we are thrilled to announce the next big chapter on our journey: a seed funding round of €2M led by some of the Nordic’s top early-stage investors, Lifeline Ventures, Superhero Capital & Vidici Ventures.

– Lifeline Ventures (FI) is an iconic early-stage venture fund founded by serial entrepreneurs. Their portfolio consists of companies such as Supercell, Oura, Smartly.io, and Wolt. We’re thrilled Samuli will be joining our board and supporting us on a strategic level

– Superhero Capital (FI) is an other well known Nordic & Baltic early-stage fund with a keen eye for data focused startups

– Vidici Ventures (SE) who have been supporting us already since last summer, also joins. Robin & Nicholas have been hunting a digital receipt platform investment for a while and we’re happy they landed on us!

What’s next?

The funding round enables us to move more effectively in all of the areas that are key to making digital receipts a mass adopted solution.

In terms of product, we will continue the development of our platform, making sure we execute our responsibility as being a secure PCI DSS compliant company. We are on a path to creating and launching value added services on top of the data, so that merchants can see even more value by distributing their receipts to customers. You’ll also see lots more integrated POS and PSP partners coming in 2021. Our mission is to work with everyone in the ecosystem to make sure that the platform is win-win for all participants.

Regarding our expansion plans, we are excited to announce that we will enter the Baltics & Sweden next year. This means we are already in contract negotiations with the right ecosystem players to get digital receipts flowing. More to come on that early next year!

Our next phase will also be to work closer with Finland’s biggest retail chains, that means finding common ground with Kesko and S-Group. We believe in an open ecosystem where all merchants participate and customers choose where their receipt data lands.

We are also looking to hire some extraordinary developers and country managers to join us on our journey. Being part of ReceiptHero at this stage is an incredible opportunity for those who enjoy ownership and want to play a significant role in how a global digital receipts platform will be being shaped. If this sounds like a mission you want to join, please reach out to the team.

Finally, we want to thank everyone who has supported us so far on our journey from the very early days up until now. 2021 will be our year and we are so excited to get going!
