To be compliant with the new calibration law (“ Eichrecht ”) which is now rolled out in Germany and potentially across Europe, charge point operators must provide additional data fields on the receipt.

If the charging is started via a swiped payment card or payment app (e.g. Apple Pay, Google Pay) there must be a way of providing receipt information to the customer via the payment card reference not displayed on the banking overview. Each charge point operator must harmonize this process with all payment providers and all credit/debit card providers. From a customer perspective a harmonization over all charge point operators would be beneficial.
